It's all in a name
Nazi Germany murdered 6 million Jews.
Germany at that time was about 95% Christian.
They justified murder by naming them: Yid. Parasites. Vermin.
Japan's Unit 731 murdered at least 3,000 men, women and children through gruesome human experiments.
Perpetrated by soldiers, doctors, researchers and civilian helpers.
They justified murder by naming them: maruta, the Japanese word for log.
Not counting the people killed during the revolution, Communist China murdered 2.5–5 million people.
To hold power, they mobilized neighbors, students, even family members to turn on their own people, targeting anyone with any hint of resources.
They justified murder by naming them: Class enemies. Rightists. Ox demons.
Currently, Americans murder 1.1 million people every year.
One murder every 28 seconds by the emphatically moral to resolve an "inconvenience".
They justified murder by naming them: fetus.
Murdering innocents obviously negatively affects the victims, but it's important to understand that the perpetrators don't go unscathed. Read their accounts or talk to them: it weighs heavily on their souls.
But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?
Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want.
Mother Teresa, National Prayer Breakfast, February 3, 1994
Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.
Exodus 23:7 (ESV)
There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Proverbs 6:16–17 (ESV)
They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.
Psalm 106:37–38 (ESV)
It's ultimately your choice. And ultimately, you and your child will bear the consequences of your choice.
God gave you free will. Before you make this life-altering decision, would it be reasonable to seek support and talk to a few people?
I recommend a conversation with someone who loves God and who loves you. Give them a chance to demonstrate God's love for you through them.
If you don't have that person in your life, here are some resources to speak to:
